This problem has nothing to do with PureMart. First, i must say that.
DON'T GIVE 777 TO ANY FOLDER!! it is not necessary. IF YOU FORGOT TO DROP THE PERMISSION, YOU WEBSITE WILL BE OPEN TO BE HACKED!
To eliminate the error message.
Navigate to VIRTUEMART BACKEND > SHOP > MEDIA FILES
and find the image file that gives you the error message. Delete that image from the MEDIA FILES page and try to re-upload.
OR try the
Synchronize media to VirtueMart link
FYI:
Synchronize media to VirtueMart is button that you will see inside the VIRTUEMART BACKEND > SHOP > MEDIA FILES page. It sync the image files that you put in this directory: /images/stories/virtuemart/product/
There are 2 ways to upload pictures to Virtuemart:
1- Upload the files through VM Backend (the ordinary method)
2- Put the product pictures to this folder: /images/stories/virtuemart/product/ and click the
Synchronize media to VirtueMart in the Virtuemart backend.
Then you can use those pictures for products. The 2nd method is more professional way.
BACKUP FIRST!. If you make a mistake somewhere, you might lose all your product pictures.
Did you also check the
forum.virtuemart.net ? (or search the error message on google.com?)
Since it is a problem directly about Virtuemart Backend. This must have been discussed already in the official forum.
