hi, i have 2 shipping methods which seem to be working ok at the checkout. After the shopper has entered his data, he has to select between the 2 methods. He chooses but the choice is not saved.He is redirected to the earlier state at the checkout process.

unfortunately it has no affects.the proplem persists on both shippment and payment methods.

I don't see any irregular activity in the shopping cart page.

I typed bulk information and select "Self pick-up" as shipping method.




Then i clicked "Change shipment" button and this time i chose the 2nd one, which is S1 s1 then clicked "SAVE" button.



Everything was working as expected.

By the way. the login fields and Register & Guess Checkout buttons are hidden in the shopping cart page.



To show thelogin fields and Register & Guess Checkout buttons in there, open the VM Backend and make sure to enable this option:

unfortunately it doesn't work for me.i keep on choosing and saving but when i press on cart checkout...

IF you want to have this look, then it is up to you. I mentioned about it, in case you might not know why the "login panel" is hidden. But if you do it on purpose, that's fine.

About the not SAVED shipping and payment method. It is normal, because you weren't clicking the SAVE buttons.

In your website, on the shopping cart page, you said have hided the "Register and Checkout" and "Login" element on purpose.
But right now, once an ordinary customer opens the shopping cart page. This is what they are seeing:



So, i would suggest you to open "Flexible VM2 Template" plugin and disable this option:



So this what the visitor will do these;

1- Find the product, add it to cart
2- On the cart page, choose "shipping method", choose "payment method"
3- Click "Checkout" button
4- Since the user is still anonymous, the Virtuemart will bring up the registration form, so the user will register

This would be much better and user-friendly for you. Because right now, your website doesn't show the shipping methods, and asking shoppers to register first. But there is no button/place to register.

Please do what i say. Then i will re-run the test. Because right now, there is no logical reason why the selected shipping methods and payment methods won't get SAVED.

i have done everything you say.
but the shippment choise seems to load but nothing happens, it just dissapears again

This is what they are seeing:" Once this button is clicked it sais:Register and provide shipping address first AND "BUT there is nowhere to provide shipping address, since you disable the top panel". I would like to inform you that when the customer clicks on the first shipping button"Επεξεργασία Αποστολής"or on the second button provide payment method "Επεξεργασία Πληρωμής" the message that appears is in a few words to agree and to click on Checkout "Ταμείο" and this is where he is redirected to the customers acount info page


and after that all the previous topic's pics appear.

i'm sorry but it seems that i cannot send the third picture where the customer is reduarected to the customers info after pressing on the "Ταμείο" (checkout)

i have also applied a past topic "flexiblewebdesign.com/forum-virtuemart-2-template-puremart-support/740-right-column-goes-to-the-left#3219"

and changed the line 34 as you had described , if that helps.
P.S in this site i also want the taxes so the prices also applied according to the given address of the shopper.Do all these make sense that i have told you?

I took screenshot from your website 6 days ago. I browsed your website and took screenshots. At that time, everything was working, the shipping and payment methods were loading by AJAX. But then apparently you did something. Either touched the PHP or change the Virtuemart configuration, then it stopped working.

If something was working at first but suddenly stop working later on, this makes our template "innocent". You should re-do what you have done to get back to original states.

I can't provide free support to you on this as this is not our template's fault (if the "select shipment" and "select payment" buttons won't load anything)

Check the Virtuemart configuration. Because this issue is related to configuration.

Let me prove you one more thing. This URL is used to load the shipping methods:
index.php?option=com_virtuemart&view=cart&tmpl=component&task=edit_shipment

(once the "Select shipment" button is clicked, this page is loaded by AJAX)

And lets browse this URL in your website:

It says: "Please enter your address first" why does it say it? Because of the configuration you have made. This is why nothing gets loaded once you click the button. Because there is no shipping method to show.

actually after your last post, really i did no changes at all.Now it seems to be working.Can you please check it yourself in case i am missing something?
also, when i create a category or subcategory why isn't there an option of flexv2list or multi?
on another site i had made, the option was available.any idea?

Choosing the View Option (ListView, GridView, MultiView) is possible through: "Flexible VM2 Template" plugin.

First, in the VM configuration choose which layout you want. (options are: default and flexv2)

Then open the "Flexible VM2 Template" plugin and choose the layout that will be the default View.
