I just installed Puremart & NOTHING is working.
My site is RTL, using JA-PURITY2, VM 2.0.22a, and jQuery Easy is installed.

Before "diving" too deep here are a few issues I faced during the installation which I want to clear first:

1. Under com_virtuemart I left my invoice folder which includes the overrides files for RTL.
I don't think so but I better ask: should this cause a problem ?

2. I followed the instruction & configuration>>templates was configured as described.
But under the Product Category Form>>Category Browse Page - whenever I change it to "No Override" it jump back to "flexv2".

There are 3 folders to upload.
One of the folders is com_virtuenart.
I ALREADY HAD a com_virtuenart folder with an invoice sub-folder for the RTL invoice files:
(templates\ja_purity_ii\html\com_virtuemart\invoice)

I did NOT delete the invoce sub-folder.
Instead I added to templates\ja_purity_ii\html\com_virtuemart\ - all 8 sub-folders provided by Puremart.

My question is - should this be a problem ?

2. I get the next facebook error - which I believe comes from Puremart.
TypeError: jQuery(...).facebox is not a function
[Break On This Error]
jQuery('a[rel*=facebox]').facebox()

How can I fix it (jQuery is already installed & activated).

Okay. now I understand.
Definitely no, there will be no problem. You will keep using your old "RTL" invoice layout.

2- It is a jQuery conflict issue, i can't provide any solution unless I see your website. Please provide me an URL where i can browse it.

First of all,

Open your jqueryEasy plugin and from parameters; change the jQuery version from 1.8 to 1.6
Virtuemart Component officially loads jQuery1.6, so our VM Template has been designed to work with jQuery1.6 as well.

Then open Virtuemart Backend > Configuration > Template
And make sure you have the same settings below:



Do these changes then let me know. It should solve some of the Java and Layout problems,

Exactly as you wrote - it solved some of the Java and Layout problems.

Moving forward....

The main categories view seems wrong & the same goes for teach category page.
Both are configured to 4 on each row (4 categories, 4 products) but for both Puremart shows only one on each row.

Disable the GZIP plugin (which combines the CSS and JS files), or clean the "cache".

At the Backend Gzip was already disabled - but I couldn't find a Gzip plugin.
The template has the option to Compress Css & Javascript (1. Optimize CSS + 2. Optimize JS) - I disabled both of them.

I think i know the source of the problem.
Since your website is RTL, virtuemart loads this CSS file:

www.bestwebsolutions.info:8888/pest/components/com_virtuemart/assets/css/vmsite-rtl.css

(normally it loads this: /components/com_virtuemart/assets/css/vmsite-ltr.css for LTR website)

But this file vmsite-rtl.css is empty in your website. You should put some general rules in there. In forum.virtuemart.css people share their contents to put in the vmsite-rtl.css ...anyway.

I would suggest you to take all CSS rules from
www.bestwebsolutions.info:8888/pest/components/com_virtuemart/assets/css/vmsite-ltr.css
and copy them to here:
www.bestwebsolutions.info:8888/pest/components/com_virtuemart/assets/css/vmsite-rtl.css

then eliminate the rules that breaks the layout. Or use the CSS override to change the float rules.

For example, add this CSS rule (to the bottom of vmsite-rtl.css)
