solved with the tip below:

The ajax for auto populating the State after selecting a Country fails. I fixed it by updating /components/com_virtuemart/assets/js/vmsite.js and changing this line

Hi,

I recommend you not to use sub-release versions of Virtuemart.

When Virtuemart officially releases VM2.0.12, then we will put effort and update our VM Template as well (if we notice any problem with that new release). You might face any problems as well since (currently) our VM Template is compatible with only VM2.0.10 because this is the latest -official and stable- version so far.
