If we do everything as it is with Virtuemart, then what is the point of using our VM Template? Right?
There is no problem no where, It is all about the settings. With the correct backend settings, you will get what you want. This has already been explained in the TUTORIAL.PDF that comes with the template.
Official Virtuemart fails to line-through (cross) the old price if the "override price" feature is used. Or it fails if there is no TAX applied to products. We needed to play around with the PHP lines, do several IF....else statement and make the price appearing works as expected work in "all" cases. But still we weren't able to make it work in case of no-tax situation because of the limitations.
First of all. Don't enable all the price options. This will be generate the duplicate price. Choose only the price options that you need. Not less, not more. For not, Choose only the options that i have mentioned in my 1st post.
Secondly, as i am seeing in your screenshot, you have a "country" restriction for the TAX rule you created. It means, that TAX rule will be effective only if the German user is logged in. The system will know if user is from Germany or Not only if the user gets logged in. So the system will decide to apply the TAX rule or not by looking at the user's country information.
What you need to do is;
Get back to my 1st post and apply the same exact settings.
1- Choose the only those price options (for testing, only the options i highlighted and see it works as expected, then you can choose others if you would like)
2- Create a new TAX rule, but this time type 0.00 to percentage (this will be virtual TAX) and don't choose any country. So this rule will be effective to everybody (anonymous and logged-in users)
-OR-
Go your TAX rule for the Germany you create, and remove the "Germany" country filter from it.
By the way, are you working in a live server? Can you provide me a URL of your website where i can see it?
