Ok, so I know that a user must be logged in to see shipping rates on checkout but my site is showing no error when they aren't logged in. The ajax bar just scrolls and then nothing. I need something at least....Tried with SEF enabled and disabled. Works as it should if user is logged in.

Also last time I had a problem with this you guys responded (via email):
So in our end, we should do something like: since the "shipping rates" don't show up until the user provide any address information, then the "select shipment" button must be hidden until the user is logged in. That would make more sense. And the buyers don't see that button and they won't be scared.
I will take a look at it, and hopefully i will try to come up with a better solution to avoid any confusion for buyers. But since it is anew feature, give us some time.

What's the status on this? Were you guys still planning on using this idea? It'd save you alot of headaches in my opinion.

Have to check with the boss what he is/will/has done about this - it wasn't me you dealt with and you don't mention the thread..

In the normal way, both "Select shipping" or "Select Payments" buttons must be hidden or sholdn't be click-able until the buyer provide an address. Because in the backend of Virtuemart, those rates or payment methods can be filtered based on the buyers destination, since the destination is still unknown, pressing those buttons gives nothing to buyers (which eventually confuses buyers).

VM Developer has thought that, buyers are cleaver enough about not to press those buttons until they provide an address, but indeed buyers are in hurry and want to see the shipping rates right away without telling where they located in the world ;)

I should apply this patch to your website individually, because i am seeing you have made lots of color changes in our PureMart. You might lose your customization changes if i ask you to overwrite files. So, provide me your joomla admin account to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
(and make sure that admin account has "super admin account" access). And i will modify this PHP file:

templates/YOUR_TEMPLATE/html/com_virtuemart/cart/default_pricelist.php

to apply the patch.

Scratch that. I couldn't wait any longer. I just used the original default_pricelist.php file from Vmart. Lame...
