This has apparently been a bug in previous versions of Virtuemart template and in the VM forum they recommend to copy the default.php file from views/cart/tmpl to the location templates > YourTemplateFolder > html > com_virtuemart > cart

This fixes the problem but reverts the checkout page to the VM default.

Please could you advise how I fix this in the fashionmart template.

Both of you guys have the VM Template - FashionMart for the previous virtuemart versions (most likely for VM2.0.6).
In VM2.0.8 and in VM2.0.10 lots of have changed; so did our VM Template - FashionMart. You should update our VM Template as well to make everything work smoothly with newer Virtuemart releases. That "TOS" text and the "Comments Characters" texts are just the tip of the iceberg. There are other important - most likely invisible or not noticeable - factors as well.

sandstorm871 = I checked your order and i am seeing you are eligible to get the free updates. I have re-sent you the download link to let you download the VM Template's latest version which is fully compatible with VM2.0.10

HenrikS = You are also eligible to receive free updates. I am seeing that you have already downloaded the latest version lately. Are you still having issue event though you have updated our VM Template FashionMArt? Please verify this, you might also create a new forum post with providing your website URL of the problematic section alive and also provide more details.

Yes .. but i already sent at mail to support .. but there is also problems if SEO is enabled.

I downloaded and copied the new template files over, which look likes its solved the original problem, but now in y checkout pages Ime seeing lots of extra code?

Those info messages have nothing to do with our VM Template and generated by Vituemart itself. Looks like they are related with your shipping method that you have or haven't defined in the VM Backend. Please define a proper shipping method and all those messages should be gone.

For example; while you are creating shipping method, for the ZIP code field, type:
Start: 000000
end: 9999999

and for the weight:
start: 0000000
end: 999999

etc...
of course if you won't define different rates for different weight and ZIP ranges

Do you think this may be a virtuemart bug then?

All my products have a start and end weight 000 - 999 & all my shipping methods have a start and end weight.

This only appeared after upgrading the template and also only appears when the user is logged in.

For new customers it doesn't show, even after registering?


I asked in a different post about how to switch off shipping selection in 1st checkout screen , as when a user hasnt yet put there address in, the shipping method, just says, there is no known shipping method. Could this have something to do with it?

Can you provide me your joomla admin account and FTP details to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. and let me check these things for you? As i am seeing in your website, the "login panel" doesn't get appeared at the top of the shopping cart" Did you hide it on purpose?

By the way; It is not a bug. There should be a way to disable those info messages from top, then you will be good to go.

Hi,

There is nothing broken or wrong in your website.
Create an ordinary (registered) user account and proceed to the checkout; you won't see any kind of weird "INFO" messages up above the shopping cart. They are there, because you test your website with a "administrator" account, or "shop admin" accounts; Virtuemart just want to tell you what is going on while choosing the shipping method. Those messages are there to give information to ADMINISTRATORs. Create yourself a ordinary account and proceed to checkout, everything will be smoothly and expected.
