What you means "once the view has changed" what view has changed?

A layout that i am seeing in screenshot could happen only if there is a jQuery Conflict in your website. That sliders use jQuery, if there is a conflict and they will be corrupted and wouldn't work.

Check your website site source code and see if your website is loading multip jQuery library. Normally there should only one (jQuery1.6.4) which is loaded by Virtuemart officially, if you are seeing an another one (with different version) find which of your components/plugin/module is loading it and disable it. Then your website will be conflict-free and everything will be good to go.
