I dont know whether others have also faced this issue. Also, I don't know if I am being clear when I explain this. let me try.

In the Flexible template's "Quick Look" feature, when a user clicks on "Add to Cart", the popup message that comes in about the product being added to cart. At this point, if the show cart link is clicked then the user is shown the cart. However, all this happens in the popup. On the demo on your website, all of this does not happen in the popup.

What do I do about this?

Have I been clear about my issue? I bought the template only because of its Quick View and Zoom feature. But what is the point if it keeps staying in quickview?

There is a patch for it.
See the attached cart.php file


and replace it with the one you have in this path:
yourdomain.com/components/com_virtuemart/controllers/cart.php

then your problem will be gone.

The link you send must be a mistake, otherwise this would be a core hack and every time someone upgraded their virtuemart they would have to upgrade this patch as well!!

I am also having the problem that once quickview is used the quickview is then used for the shopping process if the person adds to cart, this makes the quickview unusuable. Is there not a template override that will fix this. Setting the target to always be the parent frame when continuing shopping.

IT IS NOT A CORE HACK. OUR VM TEMPLATE DOESN'T HAVE ANY CORE HACK AT ALL. please don't use this word, our customer might misunderstand this term.

If you compare the original cart.php and the CART.PHP file that i have attached here. You will notice they are EXACTLY THE SAME. the only difference is, the "continue" link has this TAG: target="parent"

that's all. This target="parent" lets the "continue" button opens the shopping cart page in the parent window, (instead of modal lightbox). Whenever you do the Virtuemart update, you can overwrite the cart.php with the one i have attached here, Virtuemart Team, don't touch the cart.php at all in updates. OR you can manually add the target="parent" TAG to "continue link" once you do the Virtuemart update.
