I am running into a problem with the Flexible Sportmart template. I want to use only guest shoppers. But it seems that only the combination of guest shoppers and registered shoppers is possible. In the checkout page I don’t see an option to enter my address when I don’t allow registered users in Joomla. Is it possible in the template to only use guest shoppers?

Besides that, when using registered users, I detect that using the functionality of ‘username forgotten’, ‘password’ forgotten’ and logging in with false credentials leads to errors. This behavior occurs not only on my website, but also on your demo website. Is this a bug in the template or is this something to set up in Joomla or Virtuemart itself?

I am using Joomla 3.9.14 and Virtuemart 3.16.0.

Hi Fred, unfortunately using "only" guest checkout feature is not supported by Virtuemart. There is no parameter in the Virtuemart Dashboard about this to activate it easily;

But you can follow these steps:

1- Disable user registration via Joomla Settings (so no one will be able to register -- See here: docs.joomla.org/J3.x:Disabling_user_registration/en)
2- Hide the "Register" and "Login" elements from Virtuemart shopping cart page.

These edits will let you have "guest only" checkout system in the shopping cart page.

FYI: To hide the "register" and "login" elements from Virtuemart shopping cart page; you need custom coding in some of the template override php files. Unfortunately we don't provide step-by step guidance for custom coding modifications.
