I don't see any deformation on the pictures. If the aspect ratio of product pictures are not the same, it is normal if you have this kind tall (portrait) pictures, if this is what you were talking about.

The width value is taken into consideration. Our template don't resize the pictures, it just "limit" the sizes with the CSS "max-width" rule. So, the sizing is temporary, if you are not happy with the sizing limits, you can redefine your own max-width and max-height values through /templates/flexible_lightmart/css/virtuemart.css

I think it should to load different CSS tags to the small picture and the big picture.

  because if I set the max-height label in 300 px. The big picture also load the CSS and the image is the same size as the small picture

You can decrease the max-height rule.

Open this CSS file:
/templates/flexible_lightmart/css/virtuemart.css

and find this CSS rule:
The above code limits the picture height at 900px (when the enlarge link is clicked)
You can decrease this number to 500px or something. So the picture won't be longer than 500px when gets enlarged. (the width will be calculated automatically to keep the aspect ratio the same)

I would like that only applies to the small picture

Then use this CSS rule:

This CSS rule will only apply to "BIG" picture (after the EnlargeView link is clicked)

This CSS rule on the other hand:
Will only apply to product thumbnail. (the product picture before clicking the EnlargeView button)
