Gyula Cserháti	Hi! I would like to display the discounted products on GridView layout on frontpage. Is that possible? How do I do it? My template is Lightmart.

Hi,

I hate to say this, but, you can't do it.
Here is why;

- You need to use "Virtuemart Category Browse Page" to show the products with GridView layout.
- Virtuemart don't have an option to show "discounted products" only within the category browse page.

This is why "modules" are very important on joomla and Virtumart. Because a simple module will work for you. The module should show "Discounted products" only and should have a similar layout as our Category browse page - GridView. So you can publish that module on your Joomla Homepage and everything will be good to go. But i don't know a module like that.

You can only achieve what you are looking for with this:

1- Create a new Virtuemart category and name it "SALE" (basically this category will be an imaginary category)
2- Put all the "discounted" products into that SALE category. (you can define multiple categories for each product)
3- Make sure you choose "GridView" for default view option through "Flexible VM2 Template" plugin.
3- Open the Joomla Menu Manager and find the "Homepage" menu item
4- Link the homepage menu item to "SALE" virtuemart category.

And your your joomla homepage will show only discounted products by using our template's Category Browse page (GridView)
This is the only way to achieve what you are looking for without needing a module.

Gyula Cserháti	Thank you! I try another solution. 1. VM - Product Module and 2. VM - Flexible Fancy Product Slide. The problem is sale logo and the add to cart function not work on the innertop position on front page. Shape of VM - Flexible Fancy Product Slide is nice , but not work in multiple lines. And not work the red discount price of VM - Product Module. Test site: ha7px.hu

Hi,

To fix the "add to cart" button issue, open this PHP file:

/templates/flexible_lightmart/layouts/template.php

and include these PHP lines to very bottom (after the </html> line ):

JHTML::stylesheet("facebox.css","components/com_virtuemart/assets/css/");
JHTML::script("facebox.js", "components/com_virtuemart/assets/js/");
 
$document = JFactory::getDocument();
$document->addScriptDeclaration("
jQuery(document).ready(function() {

it should fix the add to cart button issue.

Gyula Cserháti	Yes, I reinstall from backup my webshop yesterday. Add to cart button work again. But VM - Product Module not show the FlexibleDiscount logo and PricebasePriceWithTax and red PricediscountAmount. I need these. There is some solution ?
