HI,

Using the "VM - Custom, stockable variants"plugin works correctly , but it seems the image does not update with the selected option.

Using the cart variant solve the pb of image not updating with the selected product . But, the "add to cart" appears only if the custumer first click on the second choice before coming back to the first choice.
If the customer want first order the first appearing product, he only have the message "choose a variant", wich has no effect when clicking on it.


I made lot of tries, with differents products and it is confirmed , each times,

Nevertheless, Something strange: if i publish the 2 stockable variant. It works correctly ( >but of course for the appearence of display and avoid confuse, i won't use this kind of workaround)

I understand what you are saying.
Normally "Generic Child Variant" should be used alone. The other way around might give you some drawbacks as you have now. But this is what it is. This is also same in the original Virtuemart. And also even though you are using LightMArt never forget; you are still using Virtuemart Component.

Unfortunately, there is no way to achieve and make it more user friendly without core hack.

Our support doesn't cover Virtuemart Core hack or custom modifications. In this forum we never provide Virtuemart Core hack solutions. Did you check the forum.virtuemart.net? I would suggest you to take a look at there. People are providing core hack solution to handle the situation similar to yours.
