carre	facebook like button in product does not work All is fine with firefox, but in chrome, it seems the windows wich contain the facebook div is not height enought. When you click on like button, you just see the upper line of the opening windows. I tried to workaround this pb with playing with the css, but ...no more idea ! Attachments: like.jpg (44KB)

Hi,

The CSS modifications will be ineffective because facebook uses iframe to generate the Like box.
Facebook Like Box is the official and it has been grabbed from developers.facebook.com/docs/reference/plugins/like/

You can re-create your own facebook like box. Browse the above link, fill out the form and click "Get Code".
Facebook will give you the codes in different formats (HTML5, XFBML, IFRAME, URL)

You are going to use the XFMBL or HTML5 (which ever you want). The JavaScript SDK and necessary Meta Tag midifications have already been applied to "LightMart". So all you need to do is copy the last line, which will be something like this

<div class="fb-like" data-href="THE_URL_TO_LIKE_OR_LEAVE_EMPTY_FOR_CURRENT_URL" data-width="450" data-show-faces="true" data-send="true"></div>

or

<fb:like href="THE_URL_TO_LIKE_OR_LEAVE_EMPTY_FOR_CURRENT_URL" width="450" show_faces="true" send="true"></fb:like>

Then open this PHP file:

/tamplates/flexible_lightmart/html/com_virtuemart/productdetails/default.php

Look for this line:

<!-- FACEBOOK LIKE Button XFBML BEGIN -->
          <fb:like send="false" width="220" show_faces="false" colorscheme="light"></fb:like>
<!-- FACEBOOK LIKE Button XFBML END -->

And insert your new code that facebook.com gave to you.

One more thing. If you are currently in the http://localhost/
the LIKE button won't work. You have to be in the live server to see it is working.

carre	hi, finally, everything is ok after the site was officially published in joomla . It seems tthat Where is a pb between temlate and chrome SE when published in virtuemart and unpublished in joomla config ( Only with the like button) =>OK with firefox and safari Thanks

Support	In case of any further problem with facebook like box. i gave you the guidance to re-generate the facebook like box. You may re-generate your own custom codes and use them instead. Any types of problem about the facebook LIKE box (layout or functional) has nothing to do with our VM Template, because we have used the HTML lines that Facebook gave us.
