TOPIC: Dropdowns not working

Dropdowns not working 10 years 8 months ago #5725

#1 Both the Our Products and About Us menu items have dropdowns. But the dropdowns ONLY work if you're already on those pages. So from the homepage, neither works.

#3 Not sure if this is caused by the template, but on the category page I see I have an error "Model class virtuemartModelCategory not found in file". Have you seen this error before?

By the way have you ever looked at VmPageBreak? It's a tab generator for products, and can be anything you want and different for each product. Would be good to get integrated with your templates. The Specifications tab just doesn't work, and have the custom tabs the same for each product isn't effective either.

Actually nevermind #1, I figured it out. I needed to have "show submenu items" set to yes under the menu module. However, they just show vertically for me. How do I show them horizontally like your demo?

I forgot to put a link in as well... simplysyrups.electricescape.org/our-products

Hi Shaun,

you would need to apply a float left to the li

e.g.

.menu-dropdown li.level2:first-child {
border: medium none;
float: left;
}

plus appropriate widths, margins etc - just knick the code from the demo..

re: "Model class virtuemartModelCategory not found in file". don't see it in your site - did u fix it?

Cheers

John

Oh yeah the category page I got rid of, there's too much on it so I just made a static page. But here is, which is where that error occurs: simplysyrups.electricescape.org/online-store

Re menu, yeah I thought I might have to do float:left, but that then makes the text only dropdown menu's float left as well. Looking at your demo, and menu.css on your demo doesn't have any float:lefts on anything, and you've got the image menu's horizontally aligned but the text only menu (template) vertically aligned, with multiple columns.

Oh well anyway, doesn't matter I can just use float left, it looks okay, haha.
