I installed the template, instert my username and order ID number in the specified fields however when I try to modify and save the tamplate it gives me an error.

For an example take a look at the attached picture.
Please help me out because I can't afford to loose time with such a insignificant problem.

Please try either of those:

1- Make sure this file:

ROOT/templates/flexible_darkmart/config <--- (this is a file, not folder, without an extension (such as .txt) at the end)

has "write" access. This file should have at least CHMOD 644

2- Change the browser (use Chrome, Safari or IE) and try again

I was able to fix the problem myself, but thanks for your time.

I fixed it by updating my PHP version from 5.2 to 5.3 and that took care of the problem.

You should have definitely been using PHP5.3
PHP5.2 becomes very old these days.
