I would like to add some extra information on my product pages.
However, I don't want a selection in a radio button OR drop down box.
My items aren't for sale.

I understand if I create a new "Custom Field", I need to say YES on "Cart Attribute" so it shows up next to my item.
But this creates the Radio Button or Drop Down Box.
Is this possible?
It would actually be better if I could have the categories show up listed next to my product instead.

Also, how do I get rid of the "Add to cart" button and Quantity field?
I disabled them in the backend options but they still show on my product pages.

The boss has provided some posts concerning custom fields - please search - but configuration of the VM core questions should be directed to the VM forum

re add to cart buttons etc - why not set the whole VM to 'Use only as catalogue' in config?
