Basically my site has images that are transparent.

The problem with that is they look this way(as attached image), i think it would be better if they had a white background instead.

The site im using is a test site. Urguy.co.za

You can use CSS to fill the background of images with a white background.

Open this CSS file: /templates/gantry/html/com_virtuemart/assets/css/flexible.css

scroll to the bottom and enter this CSS rule:
and the result will be:
