not sure where i went wrong; i did as per instruction;

1) category view is not showing as on demo : category name shows on right side instead on bottom

I have the same problems with tabs. Also, if I add custom fields, product detail page not working at all. I have error 500

it seems to me. template that is incompatible with vm 3.0.4-3.0.6 + j3.4.1

I replied your email already to solve your problem. Your problem is related to "Backend Configuration". Some of categories are using Virtuemart layouts (because of override), some of them are using CleanMart (you should be choosing NO OVERRIDE for all categories so there will be no overriding and all categories will start using CleanMart layouts)

The latest version of CleanMart (v3.2) is well compatible with VM3.0.6.2 + Joomla3.4.1
