Hi,
I am sorry that i blamed your hosting provider. To be honest with you, after seeing 1.4s response-time. I thought you were using shared-hosting.
If you look at my responses in your previous topic that i had to close, i have always paid attention and tried provide most detailed and sophisticated responses. I have never tried abandon any of your questions. Which (i believe) is considered a good support.
If closing your previous topic made you angry, i am really sorry about it. I didn't mean it.
But the thing is; as you might have noticed as well, the discussion wasn't going anywhere. You are saying the performance is not good with "VM3.0", and i am trying to prove that the performance drops with/without CleanMart (in our Live Demo) is negligible, this means; it doesn't require immediate action in our end.
There was thing that i told you, which was very very important, maybe summaries the discussion and the slowness that you have been experiencing.;
2- Dig into PHP code and delete every function, or any single code snippet that you don't use. Usually templates come with many different things, but people usually use only some of them, sometimes less than half. If you eliminate the features or functionalities that you are not using (and won't use); this cleaning will let you get serious performance improvements.
For example; if you don't use "FEATURED PRODUCT" badging feature, then disable the code snippets from the source codes; so the database won't be queried to check if the product is in the "Featured table" or not.. The same thing valids for "NEW PRODUCT" badge and "SALE PRODUCT" badge as well. (FYI: they are not being used in official VM)
These are small things, eliminating those code snippets would probably give you 10-20ms boost only, but if you sum small things, you might end-up with in total of 500ms, which is a big number. Another things is; the way how the VM3 communicates with database is way more different than VM2, but this is a core thing, and there is literally nothing we can do about it. I am not saying VM3 is slower (indeed it is faster in the core) but the changes might have negative effect for the 3rd party extensions.
You can't expect a "the best" performance from a template. This is the fact. I will be honest with you; because templates have many redundant or useless feature (that i wouldn't use many of them if i design a eCommerce website) but those features make the template pretty and people like them. Every single extra feature causes "performance drops", because simply almost every single feature causes at least 1 more database query
I don't entirely know what are the main differences between CleanMart's VM2 and VM3 versions, as far as i know, not much.
By the way, if you ask my help on your case; there is indeed one thing i can do for you. I can remove the "domain validation" system from the source codes on your website. We are using Google CDN servers for domain validation; but it is still something and cURL is used for connecting to remove server. cURL takes some time for some server. I am sure it will give at least 50-100ms boost. Depending on your server's cURL performance; the boost can be even bigger.
