I just upgrade to VirtueMart 3.0.4 and now the following message appears at the top of the "Thank you for your Order" page:

Message
Card Number Invalid
Card CVV Number Invalid or Missing
Expiration Date Invalid

This happens even though the Order actually goes through and is accepted by Authorize.net. This was working properly before the update! Help Please!

If I disable the CleanMart plugin and Template everything works just fine. This definitely appears to be a compatibility issue between CleanMart and the latest version of VirtueMart.

I used the upgrade feature from within Joomla.
I am running an "out of the box" vanilla version of Joomla 3.3.6 with the prostar template.
Running on PHP 5.6.3
MySQLi 5.5.40-cll

Hi,

First of all, CleanMart hasn't been tested with VM3.0.4 yet. The compatibility has confirmed for VM3.0.2 only.

But, even with the updated version, i don't think that this problem would have been patched, because most likely we won't be able to see/notice it. Apparently you are using Authorize, and we don't have it. Is there a way for us to see that error message (without using the Authorize payment method)?

But this quick help might be useful to you; if you are saying, this error message is completely unnecessary and wrong. then i would recommend you to use CSS to "hide" this error message box. On the "Thank you for your order" page, hide the error message element by using display:none; css rule. Include the "class" name of the <body> page or the parent wrapper DIV element's class name, so the display:none; CSS rule to hide the error message will only apply on this specific page. (otherwise it would hide all the error message boxes throughout your entire website)

As a quick work-around I can certainly hide this error message on the Thank You page using CSS as recommended. This only works because to get to this page you have to have successfully completed the transaction with Authorize.

However, be aware, that there are other error messages that show on other cart pages that are also not correct. A couple of times when I simply visited the Cart page there were errors displayed that should not have been shown. I will try to reproduce the exact scenario so that I can tell you what I did to get to the incorrect display and I will include any useful screen capture.

And, the Authorize AIM payment method comes standard with the VirtueMart base install. When you are ready I would be happy to share my Authorize.net "sandbox" credentials with you so that you can test and debug this yourselves. Just let me know through a PM when ready.

I just did some more testing and the scenario below during the "Checkout as Guest" process cannot be fixed by using CSS to hide the error because it would also hide "real" error messages as well.

I cannot use your CleanMart template in a production environment with these errors...

Here are the steps I went through using my standard Joomla/VirtueMart site:

Default Products
Default Product - Add to Cart
Show Cart
Select and Save Authorize AIM payment method
Check Out Now

The page shown below for entering shopper information to complete the checkout as guest process shows an error in the credit card information even before interaction with Authorize.net servers?

Then I filled in the required information to checkout as guest and selected the Checkout as Guest button at the bottom of the form.

The "Confirm Purchase" appeared as below - showing the correct message at the top.

I then selected "Confirm Purchase"

And I got the Thank You Page with the same error mentioned in my earlier post...

Hi,

If this "CC # wrong" notice message problem won't happen with official VM layout (after disabling CleanMart), then it means CleanMart is guilty; thus we are responsible for that bug. We will either fix the bug completely on your website or provide you a working alternative solution, no need to worry. I suppose it is a simple thing, as CleanMart is not playing an important role in the checkout beside changing the layout visually. I will get a better idea when i look at your website backend and run some benchmark tests with PHP files.

I am seeing you have sent the login credentials already for that domain to support@flexiblewebdesign. I will take a look at your website for both of those problems and most likely i will fix them. But; first please confirm both of the problems are happening in the same website.

I just discovered that "Checkout As Guest" and "Register And Checkout" buttons don't work either. In your Cart page?

The first problem I ran into was that I couldn't even view the Cart until I disabled the UPS and USPS Shipping methods. With those two shipping methods enabled I got the page below:

After Disabling the USPS and UPS Shipping methods I was able to view the Cart but could not Checkout as Guest or Register...

It feels like all of these issues are related...
Can someone please look into this - these errors make your product unusable..

Hi,

First of all, i disabled the "CleanMart" from your website temporary by renaming this folder:
/templates/jsn_epic_pro/com_virtuemart/
to
/templates/jsn_epic_pro/com_virtuemart2/

and i am still seeing "Login First Message"

So, this "login authentication on shopping cart page", has nothing to do with CleanMart. Contact the UPS shipping plugin developers.

As i have told you before, i need to disable the AJAX loading from "Load shipping rates" and "Load payment method" on shopping cart page. Right now, your "select shipment" and "select payment" method uses the official Virtuemart layout.

Also, as it states in the tutorial.pdf, I disabled: "One Page Checkout enabled" option from Joomla Backend >> VM Configuration >> Checkout, because it causes infinite loop. (not being able to proceed to "confirm" order)

If you insist on using Virtuemart's official layout on shopping cart, you can completely eliminate CleanMart stylization on shopping cart page only by renaming this folder:

/templates/jsn_epic_pro/com_virtuemart/cart/
to
/templates/jsn_epic_pro/com_virtuemart/cart2/

About your other problem: Loading the entire website and asking for login in a modal popup; after clicking the "Guest Checkout" or "Register" button on shopping cart page.

It is not a bug of our template, it is a bug of Joomla SEF (not even Virtuemart). See this topic below for the solution:

Thank you for your detailed reply and the time you spent diagnosing my mistakes and my misunderstanding of how the various VirtueMart and Joomla "parts" play. Indeed it would seem that all of the errors I've been attributing to CleanMart should have been directed elsewhere. I apologize for this mistake.

With your detailed responses I've been able to isolate and fix some of the issues. I've eliminated the UPS and USPS Shipping plugins - they both break in unpredictable ways and don't even work correctly in an out of the box Joomla/VirtueMart install! I can live without these shipping methods. It also appears that the upgrade to Joomla 3.0.4 is the cause somehow with the Authorize.net AIM process showing incorrect errors. I am now at least a little closer to being able to go into production with this site.

Obviously I am not support but if you need UPS and USPS, you might want to check with Park Beach Systems www.parkbeachsystems.com/products/virtuemart-ups-shipping. Their UPS and USPS plugin is very nice and works properly, at least for me. I had a request to have a feature added for the USPS plugin and they implemented it in less than a week. I have no connection to them, just a happy customer passing along info in case it will help you.

Hi,

Thanks Curtis. It is good to see people are helping each other ;) which was one of the reasons why we chose Forum Platform for providing official support instead of a Ticket Platform.

Michael if you are interested, you can give it a shot to the shipping plugin that Curtis has suggested.

If the developers agree to install the extension to your website directly, this is the most ideal method. Because 3rd party extensions/templates are tend to cause conflict when work with another 3rd party extensions/templates.

FYI: The CleanMart is essentially a 3rd party template for Virtuemart.
