The module displays well everywhere except when I add a product to the cart, at which point product count and images disappear from the dropdown shopping cart. The new product I just added shows in the dropdown but without an image. Any idea what might be causing such behavior?

Navigate to Joomla Backend >> VM Configuration >> Checkout and enable this option: Show product images

This should fix the image problem.

We definitely have that checked already. As I mentioned before, the images disappear (along with the number of items in cart) right after adding something to the cart. If I refresh the page, they show again.

Nope, we are still on VM 2.6.14, so I don't think this is our problem. The add to cart actually works and I can see the product in the cart dropdown, however the images of all products in the cart are NOT showing.

Are you sure the "vm2_cart" plugin is published? Because that plugin is responsible for gathering information during AJAX loading.

Our dropdown module is working just fine with Joomla3.x + VM3.x
