I installed the Flexible VM 3 module for displaying featured images. Instead of 3 images displayed in a slider, I get 3 images down the left slide of the page. I also get the error messages Notice: Undefined variable: css_cart_label in E:\xampp\htdocs\www.provetlogic.com\modules\mod_flexible_vm3_cart\mod_flexible_vm3_cart.php on line 39

Notice: Undefined variable: checkAutomaticP in E:\xampp\htdocs\www.provetlogic.com\modules\mod_flexible_vm3_cart\mod_flexible_vm3_cart.php on line 78.

However, if I create NEW module using the Virtuemart code, the images display in the slider as expected. What is wrong with the Flexible module?

First of all; CleanMart comes with 1 standalone module and it is called:

Flexible - Virtueamart 3 Dropdown Shopping Cart

but CleanMart also comes with "template override" for official VM - Featured Product Module. So, it means you are still using Official Virtuemart Product Module, but CleanMart overrides the module and enable the slider in the front-end.

If you end up with a jquery conflict error or faulty functionality; you can disable the CleanMart overrides and get back to original VM - Featured Product Module by renaming this file:

/templates/YOUR_TEMPLATE/html/mod_virtuemart_product/
to
/templates/YOUR_TEMPLATE/html/mod_virtuemart_product2/


Secondly; (for the error messages) follow these steps:

- Install plg_FlexibleVm3cart.zip to your Joomla
- Find the "Flexible - Virtueamart 3 Dropdown Shopping Cart - Plugin" through the Joomla Plugin manager.
- Publish the plugin (don't forget to publish it)

- open this PHP file:
\modules\mod_flexible_vm3_cart\mod_flexible_vm3_cart.php

to the top (after <?php line) include this line:
and you won't see the "undefined variable" error messages anymore.

So, if I interpret you correctly, I am turning off the Flexible Cleanmart features and using the default VM display.
The configuration choices for the Flexible slider appear to offer greater flexibility.
The problem seems to be a failure of the jQuery code to execute properly.

I am having trouble to understand what you are talking about. You said:
what configuration choices you are talking about? CleanMart doesn't come with any slider. Therefore, there is no configuration to set in the backend. CleanMart comes with a "template override" for VM - Featured Product Module. So, the plain VM - Featured Product Module transforms to a Slider Product Module.

FYI: VM - Featured Product Module is a module that comes with Virtuemart AIO Component officially. It is the core virtuemart module. So, the "configurations" doesn't change just because you apply the CleanMart's template overrides for it. The backend of this module remains the "same".

I found how to fix this - as there is an error in the original coding.

If you open the file "mod_flexible_vm3_cart.php" which is at public_html/modules\mod_flexible_vm3_cart\mod_flexible_vm3_cart.php and check line 80 it shows:

$data=$plg->prepareAjaxData($checkAutomaticP);

This should be replaced with:

$data=$plg->prepareAjaxData($checkAutomaticPS);
