Hi,

My site softer from very slow page load time and I started to check every component install on to see what make the problem. I notice that the "Clean mart" template is the most significant problem, after renaming the - html/com_virtuemart/productdetails folder the page load time was faster in about 3-3.5 second witch is a lot by any standard.

Please tack a look at my site and try to figure out what cause the problem.

Can you explain: "Why your server is slow?"

I will tell you why:
- Your server doesn't know how to cache PHP queries (or you didn't setup cache at all)
- You server doesn't serve images through CACHE (or you didn't enabled cache for static content)
- Your server is a shared hosting (which is the trash hosting package, you should have minimum VPS hosting)
- Your server has a low RAM or low dedicated RAM or no dedicated RAM at all which causes delay to process multiple queries.
- Your servers data center is located in a different country. (the distance between client <-> data center is extremely important to avoid lag)

In all due respect I expected a more series reasoned.

The configuration is:

1. Joomla system cash in – ON
2. Test on pingdom need to be from Amsterdam witch is the closet location and redoes 3 second +- in the result.
3. Server is with php cashe – memcached or xcashe (same result)
4. Ram and CPU are at 30% +-
5. The site it on shared hosting and been moved to VPS for testing, the results were the same on the VPS.
6. I already checked your demo speed and I knew that his running very wall.

After all the above been said I understand that this is not an easy task to figure out but the fact is ween I rename the html/com_virtuemart/productdetails folder I redouce 3+- seconded witch is clearly indicated on some problem here.

I also understand that time is money and I willing to pay for this job,
Please take a closer look and tell me what need to be done.

Of course you will notice some difference once you rename this folder:
html/com_virtuemart/productdetails/

no doubt about it. It would be absurd if there was no difference. Because "CleanMart" is something.
After renaming that folder, these files won't be loaded anymore (on product details page):

/templates/gilad7rtl/html/com_virtuemart/assets/Flexible/flexible-zoom.css
/templates/gilad7rtl/html/com_virtuemart/assets/css/flexibleVM2Global.css
/templates/gilad7rtl/html/com_virtuemart/assets/Flexible/flexible-zoom.min.js
/templates/gilad7rtl/html/com_virtuemart/assets/Flexible/productUpdater.js

BUT -3 seconds difference? no way. 3 seconds to load these files are no much.

I don't know what can be done to reduce the load though. Try to use a CSS and JS compression plugin. The best jooml plugin for CSS and JS optimization is this:
extensions.joomla.org/extensions/core-enhancements/performance/site-performance/12088

It is a free plugin and it will combine and minify JS & CSS files, then save them to CACHE folder.
This plugin will definitely increase the static content performance. (we use that plugin on flexiblewebdesign.com main website as well and we are having wonderful performance boost)

BUT BE AWARE!! Combining and minifying JS files will most likely cause jQuery Conflict. Be very cautious while using this plugin. Don't include the jQuery Library JS file into minified file.

The file "/flexibleVM2Global.css" is a very big file with a lot of option, I don't need a lot of things there and I would like to know is the file can be minimize for my need (as a private work of course) and do you think it will have some performance improve ?
Regarding the plugin I tray it but I could not make it work right without breaking the site (I don't have enough knowledge to make it work …)

I agree flexibleVM2Global.css is too big. But CleanMart is not a simple template. Therefore it requires a big and complex CSS rules.

Sorry to hear that the plugin doesn't work, but spend some time on it. Try to defer some JS files (especially the jQuery library and some other importance JS files) if you able to make it work properly, it will give noticeable performance boost on page loading.
