The important here is that I can't select the different payment options which has been set up (bank wire and credit cards) even if the automatic payment method in VM is disabled.

But i am guessing you are having jQuery conflict problem. Loading multiple jQuery libraries are usually the reason of this conflict. Avoid loading multiple jQuery.

StyleMart is already loading jQuery, so you should disable the jQuery loading from Virtuemart configuration. If you don't know what to do then see this topic: www.flexiblewebdesign.com/forum-virtuemart-2-template-puremart-support/523-the-easiest-way-to-solve-jquery-conflict-issues

Install the jQuery Easy plugin and choose jQuery1.8 from the plugin parameters. Your problem will most likely be solved.
