All products in our store we synchronize with your supplier base via third party component. After each synchronization all products get a "NEW" badge. But synchronization did not change the date of product creation or other information except of product price and amount. So how we can make badge "NEW" work properly? How exactly does badge "NEW" works?

To show/hide the NEW badge, this property below is taken into consideration in the category page:

This date is then compared with the "time_frame" (1 week, 2 weeks or 1 months) which can be altered via "Flexible VM3 Template" plugin.. If {today_date} minues {created_on} is less than {time_frame}; then the NEW badge appears. The idea is pretty straight forward.

{created_on} is a valid Virtuemart property (it is not a function or property we have invented) It grabs "created_on" data from the database (under #__virtuemart_products table)





I suppose; somehow, the Sync plugin you use mess up the {created_on} column in the database, which causes failure on displaying NEW badge properly.
