Hi..

Try to make a new custom field, text input field for the customers, I choose the plug-ins as Custom Field Type and Customer text input at Select a plug-in and set a title.

This title is not shown at the front on the product view...

First of all, i would recommend you to upgrade to SportMart v3.0.. It was released a week ago. Supports VM3.0.12 + Joomla 3.4.5
About the problem you are having, open this CSS file:
/templates/flexible_sportmart/css/custom.css

scroll to the bottom and include this rule:
That's all. The title should be displayed than.

Hi,

BACKUP first. Upgrade from VM2.+j2.5 to VM3.+J3.4 is not an easy process to do. It is because many things have changed in the core joomla and virtuenart. It is quite possible that you might end up with FATAL error if you left a component/plugin that is not compatible with j3.4.5.. There are tones of tutuorial about this upgrade/migration on the web, take a look at them. Basically there is nothing you need to anything special about upgrading SportMart. The procedure is the as same as upgrading any Joomla+Virtuemart system. But it is not easy! I recommend you to do it on your localhost first and check the log file (in case of any fatal error issue)
