Is it possible (and how) to upgrade virtuemart version manually? I don't see the virtuemart upgrade button

Hi,

First thing first. BACKUP FIRST. Use AkeebaBackup to backup the whole system.

Download the Virtuemart with any version you need; from this URL:
dev.virtuemart.net/projects/virtuemart/files

and install it directly through Joomla Extensions Manager (as if installing a module/plugin/component)

NOTICE 1: Don't uninstall the current Virtuemart. Install the new version over the old one.
NOTICE 2: Don't upgrade to Virtuemart 3.0.xx yet, SportMart doesn't support Virtuemart 3.0 (yet)

Just a curiosity, sportmart template will be updated for VM3?

Up until now, we have released new versions for our 2 templates and 3 extensions to support J3.3.x and VM3.0. Within couple days, we will publish the new version for Asymmetric Template. We are going to release new version for all our templates and extensions one by one (no exception, all of them will be updated)

It is hard to give ETA specifically for SportMart; but our plan is to complete this revision period by the end of January 2015.
