this site is live now and looking great, one issue is that after going to Paypal and completing payment, you can click on "return to store" and it takes you to a blank page url is :

www.bluefrogtoys.co.uk/index.php?option=com_virtuemart&view=pluginresponse&task=pluginresponsereceived&on=4c1c09&pm=1&Itemid=0&lang=

The payment is taken and the invoice is sent as confirmed but the customer is left high and dry.

It is a similar issue with Sagepay plugin, it returns a blank page in a similar way, payment is taken but the order is not confirmed. the URL of this one is similar:

www.bluefrogtoys.co.uk/index.php?option=com_virtuemart&view=pluginresponse&task=pluginresponsereceived&on=600e08&pm=4&crypt=@eaccad4bc0988 (there are another few hundred numbers after this)

Could you perhaps give me any clues as to what is going wrong in the cart before confirmation of purchase ?

Hi,

I can't be sure what the problem might be. Try to enable the "Error Reporting = MAXIMUM" (through Joomla Global Configuration) and reload this URL:

www.bluefrogtoys.co.uk/index.php?option=com_virtuemart&view=pluginresponse&task=pluginresponsereceived&on=4c1c09&pm=1&Itemid=0&lang=

And see if you will see any kind of error message. So, you will have a clue about what goes wrong.

By the way that URL shouldn't generate any problem, because it is not very special URL. For example, if you take the /index.php?option.... portion and copy-pasteat the end CoolMart Live DEMO's URL, like this:

demo.flexiblewebdesign.com/coolmart/index.php?option=com_virtuemart&view=pluginresponse&task=pluginresponsereceived&on=4c1c09&pm=1&Itemid=0&lang=

You will see this text: "Thank you for your Order!" (which is the default "thank you page")

But I don't know why your website generates white blank page though.

thanks - i have tried turning on error reporting as described and there is nothing showing on the front end at all - still a completely white page ?
i have also tried the end of the URL on other sites with VM installed and i also get the "thanks for your order" so i know its not the server, really desperate to get this sorted now, appreciate any help you can be.

Ok sorted this now thanks - the issue was that i built the site on one IP and then set it live on another, the licence code for Sagepay plugin didnt like that and apparently that affected the paypal plugin too - both sorted once this was realised.
