I can't be sure, but you should contact with AwoCoupons and ask them if their extension will work with 3rd party virtuemart templates.

Most of the time FREE and PAID versions are completely different extensions. I would still recommend you contact with developers and wait for them to tell you: "It will work".

So, you will have a proof to show them in case you encounter any problem.
